Caring Ministries

 

The congregation of St. Lucas United Church of Christ offers unique opportunities to serve in our Caring Ministries Program which include:

             Visiting homebound members

             Praying in the intercessory prayer network

             Delivering Sunday flowers to the hospitalized

             Phoning folks in transition from rehab

             Organizing funeral luncheons

             Writing/sending caring notes

             Knitting/Crocheting prayer shawls

             Knitting pocket prayers for our men and women in the U.S. Military

             Creating baby blankets for baptismal gifts

             Participating in regular hospital calling

 

Grief Recovery Groups are offered three times a year for members, guests and community friends.  Each seminar is composed of four weekly sessions offering spiritual support and discussion, framed by materials designed to help educate participants about the grieving process and to offer companions on the journey.  Check the Event page for scheduled programs.
