"We must not become tired of doing good....we should give special attention to those
who are in the family of believers."
Being a faithful member of one of the music groups here at St. Lucas is much more than
just being in a choir. This is a true ministry. If you have been thinking
about being a part of one - here is your chance!
CHANCEL CHOIR
This well established choir is the core of the music department. The church choir was established at the foundation of this church and choir members have kept the spirit going every sense. Meeting in the Sanctuary from 7:30-9:00pm every Wednesday, you will learn a variety of different styles of music that will keep you coming back for more. The first rehearsal will be on Wednesday, August 24th.
This choir enjoys a variety of selections from classical to contemporary appropriate to the season and sing almost every Sunday.

HOSANNA
This fun group meets every Monday evening in the choir room from 7:15-8:15pm. Dorothy Gross is the director while Lana Richard accompanies on the piano. Hosanna sings regularly but not every Sunday. Rehearsals begin on Monday, Sept. 19th. Age is never a factor so come and join us! You’ll never leave!
ST. LUCAS BELLS
Rehearsals begin on Wednesday, September 21st at 6:15-7:15pm in the sanctuary. This ministry blesses the congregation every second Sunday. If you have always wanted to try this unique musical instrument but thought it might be too hard, all you have to do is come and give it a try! Oh, and afterwards you might as well stay for Chancel Choir. Go ahead and give God your Wednesday evenings. It beats CSI any day of the week.
SOLOISTS AND INSTRUMENTALISTS
Every time a youth uses their talents instrumentally or vocally to enhance worship is always a blessing to the congregation. Please notify musical director, Lana Richard, at the church if your child plays an instrument or has an exceptional voice. It is the philosophy of the Music Department here at St. Lucas United Church of Christ that there is never too much talent that can lift the name of our Triune God.
CONTEMPORARY MUSIC
Now, if you feel that you do not have any musical talent what so ever to contribute, just keep this in mind: if none of the birds sang in the forest, it would be a mighty quite place. See you in one of the choirs!
