Volunteers are needed each week to help set up, serve, and clean up. You may volunteer to give as much time as you can - once a month, or once a year. Please contact Ruth Morris to express interest.
Environmental committee meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Library. Their mission is to help us be good stewards of God's resources through education and recycling.
Lay Caring Ministries is composed of church members who volunteer their time to help insure that no one at St. Lucas UCC is forgotten. The function of the Caring Ministries is to express and extend the church's care and concern to our members.
Mission and Outreach is accomplished in a variety of ways: through the General Budget, with monthly Benevolence Challenge offerings, with special activities like Epiphany Baskets, Sunday School projects for clothes and toys, and our Ice Cream Social. We also participate in the Meal-a-Month program, filling yellow bags with groceries for distribution at food pantries in the city.

The St. Lucas Memorial Committee - This committee was established in 1954 to receive, record, acknowledge and expend monies given through memorial contributions either specified or general. Specified contributions are used at the donor's request with approval of the Church Council. General contributions are all other funds received by the Memorial Committee and can accumulate into sizeable sums. These funds are dispersed as the committee decides, considering requests from various committees or individuals, and with the approval of Council. Over the years many items have been purchsed by the Memorial Committee to complement the church and programs of the church. These are listed in the Red Memorial books in the South Narthex and may be reviewed by anyone interested. In 1994 the committee established the Memorial Committee Altar Flower Fund so that all who wish could honor or memorialize a loved one with flowers for our worship services.
The Memorial Committee consists of six members from the congregation, a council liason and the senior minister. Meetings are held on the first Thursday of September, November, Jan, March, and May at 4:00 p.m., usually in the South Narthex. Other meetings are called if needed.
