Meet Our Staff
Rev. Dr. David Mehl,
Senior Minister
After graduating from Macalester College in St. Paul, MN, Dr. Mehl attended
Andover Newton
Theological Seminary, and then earned his Doctor of Ministry degree from
Eden Seminary in 2003. An ordained Minister of the United Church of Christ, he has served congregations in St.
Louis,
Massachusetts and Vermont over the last 29 years. Dr. Mehl is deeply committed to ecumenical and
interfaith dialogue, and has cultivated ties among Christians of differing traditions.
Rev. John Holst,
Minister, began his ministry at St. Lucas
during the
spring of 2004. Pastor John holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the
University of Illinois, and a Master of Divinity degree from Chicago
Theological Seminary. He and his family came to St. Lucas United Church of
Christ after serving congregations in Illinois and most recently Minnesota.
He is excited to build upon the welcoming spirit of community for which St. Lucas
UCC is known, through meaningful worship and engaging education and
fellowship programs.
