On Sunday, August 11 we will usher in the Back to School season with a celebration of our Backpack Program, a blessing of the backpacks, a chance for all of us to rock our school colors, and Walk Away Waffles!
This year's Blessing of the Backpacks will have a twist! Students are encouraged to bring their backpacks, and everyone is invited to bring a symbol of the work they do to be included in our blessing time. This could include your briefcase, art materials, music, stethoscope, lunch box, tools, and more. We will celebrate all the ways we take our faith outside of the walls of St. Lucas UCC.
To show our school pride, wear your school colors! We would love to see those letter jackets, cheerleader sweaters, and band uniforms from back in the day!
