As you may recall, this Task Force was commissioned for our endeavor in early November.
I want to remind you who has stepped up to work on this faith-filled journey. Our team is
comprised of:

● under the guidance of Pastor Vicki
We've been meeting regularly since November following the guidelines in Building an Inclusive
Church, a 68-page workbook endorsed by the UCC.
We're now at the starting point to begin our One-to-One conversations with each congregation
member. As of this week, we have begun these individual meetings.
These discussions will involve hearing your thoughts about an Open & Affirming certification's
impact on St. Lucas UCC. We’re eager to take in what everyone has to say about this
proposition. Members of the Open & Affirming team hope to meet with as many members of
the church as possible. Please let one of us know if you would like to be part of these
conversations.
We aim to work through every point of the workbook with the hope of securing the best result for
St. Lucas UCC. We genuinely want to determine who God is presently calling us to be in our
congregation and our community. This process will not be rushed.
